Each locomotive requires an on-board receiver which takes only minutes to install in any locomotive equipped with a plug-and-play board. A non-plug-and-play board is available for other types of locomotive.
Also available is the CRE-57005 Trackside Receiver, which allows you to control track power for running locomotives not equipped with on-board receivers.

The Original Train Engineer
The CRE-55470A Train Engineer Set includes one CRE-55473 transmitter and one CRE-55471 track receiver. With this set, you can control one track/locomotive.
The Train Engineer transmitter can control up to 100 locomotives and 50 accessories.
Each additional receiver allows control of one more section of track. Additional transmitters allow multiple users. The Train Engineer receiver handles up to 10 amps of continuous DC current and can be installed easily.
Remote Accessory Unit CRE-55474
Operate 2 points and 3 other accessories such as signals, lights, sounds, etc. Add multiple units for up to 50 accessories!

Train Engineer Basic CRE-55480
The Train Engineer Basic is an excellent low-cost alternative for people with smaller layouts who do not need the full features of the standard Train Engineer. With no direct connection to the power pack during operation, the Train Engineer Basic is safe and affordable fun for children.
